Adult Education All are welcome to join education on Sundays beginning with fellowship at 9:45 and ending by 10:30. Kindergarten–3rd grade Our youngest students hear the Word and learn Bible lessons in simple and fun ways. 4th–6th grade Middle level students are kept engaged by connecting Bible lessons to their everyday lives. Confirmation (7th and 8th grade) This two-year program helps students dive deeper into their faith. High School (9th–12th grade) Older students enjoy themed discussions that bring the Word to life.  Adult Education We explore God’s word, and how our faith enhances our perspective in our life journey.

SCHOOL YEAR 2021/2022 COMES TO AN END While the 2021/2022 school year was not typical, Crossroads made great strides in growing its capabilities to support more students impacted by food insecurity. Sunday Morning Worship Information

Sundays at SOTH! 8:30 and 10:45 a.m. – Worship The 8:30 (new time!) service will be held indoors starting October 30th. The 10:45 service continues as usual. 9:30 and until after 10:45 Worship – Food, Fellowship, and Fun! Build community through chatting, or, if you love a good puzzle or board game, find one in the fellowship hall and enjoy. Weather permitting, there will be outdoor activities too.   9:45-10:30 – Friendship and Faith Building (Education) for All As noted above, all are welcome to come at 9:30 for food and fellowship of all sorts. At 9:45, adults meet for education while young people gather

Shepherd of the Hills 2022 Congregational Retreat will take place May 6-8 at Caroline Furnace Lutheran Camp & Retreat Center. This is a great way for people of all ages to enjoy outdoor adventure and relaxation while growing in faith and building community. Grief Share & Support Meetings on Sundays 4-6 PM

Do you or someone you know need help and encouragement after the death of a loved one? GriefShare is a 13-week seminar and support group for people who are grieving the death of someone close to them. It is a place to be around people who understand what you are feeling. At GriefShare, you will learn valuable information about recovering from your grief and renewing your hope for the future. You are welcome to begin attending the group at any point. Each session is “self-contained” and meetings are Sundays from 4-6 PM at Shepherd of the Hills started September 11.

Holy Week Schedule Palm/Passion Sunday, April 10 A special celebration of Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem with special music, palm branch processional, and dramatic reading of the Passion of Christ. Outdoor service at 8:45 and Indoor Service at 10:45 both services available via Zoom. Please visit our homepage for Zoom links and bulletin. Maundy Thursday, April 14 During this service we remember Christ’s last meal with his disciples with the central focus on Jesus’ commandment that we are called to give and receive love in humble service to one another. Easter EGGstravganza!

Children of all ages are welcome to participate in an Easter egg hunt and fellowship time on Sunday, April 17 beginning at 9:45am. Plenty of surprise-filled eggs will be hidden in and around the grassy area to the right of the church building. Join us for the fun—bring a basket or something to carry the eggs you find! Questions? Midweek Lenten Services Lent is a time for contemplation and repentance as we consider God’s enduring faithfulness and the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for our salvation. During our midweek Lenten services, we will focus on people of faith who encourage us—through their words and deeds—to build God’s kingdom in this time and place. Please join our Lenten gathering on Wednesday evenings from March 9 – April 6 starting with a soup dinner at 6 pm followed by a service at 7 pm in-person and Zoom. With gratitude and excitement big changes can be seen as the church building expands! In our quest to increase our missions and ministries as well as enhance daily ministry functions we are committed to enlarge the church building. We also look forward to hosting more community events such as Crossroads, Senior Ministry, Scouting and welcoming new gatherings to utilize the increased space. All are welcome!
