Christmas Eve Worship Schedule: 2:30 PM – Outdoor Worship & Worship via Zoom (No Registration Required) Worship in the parking lot with communion and carols. 4:00 PM – Indoor Worship & Worship via Zoom (Registration Required – Click Link Here) Worship in the sanctuary with communion and special music. Service begins in the sanctuary (masks are required) and ends outside where we will joyfully and safely sing beloved Christmas carols with special lights of the season. All are invited to join us and watch the holiday classic “Elf” on Saturday, December 11 at 5:30pm (rain/snow date is December 18) outside of SOTH. Admission is free, but we invite attendees to help local people in need by bringing with them a non – perishable food donation for the Haymarket Regional Food Pantry. We will deliver all donations to the pantry in the week after the movie. In remembrance of the Lord’s love for all creatures, pet owners are invited to bring their animal companions to Shepherd of the Hills for a Blessing of the Animals by Pastor Darcy. We give thanks for animals that gladden our lives and the earth that we share!

Lutheran Social Services (LSS) based at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Fairfax, is overwhelmed and understaffed to deal with all of the generosity that has been pouring in, along with Afghan refugees. Volunteers are needed to help receive, unpack, and organize donations, plus help our new Afghan Ally neighbors shop through the donations area. Shifts are broken into two hours M-Sat…11-1 & 1-3. Please click the link below to choose the time(s) that best fits for you: Volunteer Here

ALL are welcome to come and recognize the gift of the Holy Spirit with the Pentecost kite flying celebration following the late service Sunday, June 5 from 11:45 AM – 1:30 PM! Like the wind, the Spirit is invisible, but we can see the work that it does. Kites, stomp rockets, and other fun activities will be available to all, and pizza will be provided.  Questions?
