The 2020 Prayer Initiative:  Everything to God in Prayer The Music and Worship team has chosen to emphasize prayer in 2020 to encourage a closer relationship with God among all who worship with us. Starting in February, SOTH will offer sermon series, prayer vigils, retreats, and other opportunities to learn more about prayer. Our overview of the year is here. Learn About the Plight of the Homeless in Our Community February 9, 2020 at 3:30 pm

On Sunday, February 9, Shepherd of the Hills’ Second Season Steering Committee will host Courtney Tierney, Director of Social Services for Prince William County, who will describe the plight of the homeless within our community. The presentation will be held in the SOTH sanctuary beginning at 3:30 p.m. All church members are welcome and encouraged to bring friends and neighbors. We will be collecting items for distribution to our homeless neighbors. New socks, men’s underwear, hand warmers, and AA and D size batteries are suggested.

You are invited to the 10th Annual Christmas Tea themed, “Mary Did You Know?” All women are invited to meet at church to share a time of devotion, enjoy delicious goodies, and sing Christmas carols. Please bring your favorite appetizer to share. Doug Burroughs, owner of the Flower Gallery of Manassas, will work his magic with flowers. Come and pick up some pointers for making your own arrangements. A few lucky ladies will go home with one of his incredible creations. Harvest Feast at Pace West

S.O.T.H. Volunteers enjoyed joining community members in preparing and serving a traditional Thanksgiving dinner to students and families of Pace West School. S.O.T.H. volunteers prepared stuffing, potatoes, desserts and rolls for the feast. The day of the feast some volunteers worked in the kitchen, while others served students and their families on the food line. Each year volunteers from different areas and clubs in the community come together to provide this special meal for students and their families that might not experience it at home. S.O.T.H. has been honored to serve in the Harvest Feast for over 6 years.
