Since the sixth century, Christians have gathered on Ash Wednesday to mark the beginning of Lent, a time of the church year when we recommit to Christian growth. Ash Wednesday is a service when we think about our mortality, but it is in this contemplation that we better understand how to live a life rooted in Christ. We hope that all will join us for worship (and streaming) on February 14 at 7:00 p.m. as we begin our Lenten journey together. Childcare will be available. All are welcome to join us for the Christmas production of: There’s Room for You…”In Bethlehem Inn” by John Carter. This theatre experience shares the birth of Christ through the eyes of the innkeeper, his family, servants, and you – the guests! Enjoy a midday meal as the performance unfolds around you. Fall is officially here, and we are celebrating with SOTH’s family-friendly Fall Festival! Guests of all ages will find lots to enjoy from delicious food (brats with all the fixings, German potato salad, baked beans, hot/cold cider, popcorn and more) to live music and a host of fun fall activities (pumpkin bowling, contests and crafts). Are you interested in becoming a member of Shepherd of the Hills or getting to know more about the congregation? “Discover Shepherd of the Hills” will take place Sunday, November 5 following the 10:45 Worship Service from 11:45 AM – 2:30 PM. Lunch will be provided and childcare is available if that is helpful. Frolicking, Food, Film & Lock-in Fun! Friday, September 22 at 5:30 PM

On Friday children, youth, and their families are invited to join us at SOTH for a quick friendly game of kickball, followed by a ballpark-themed meal (we will provide hot dogs, soft pretzels, nachos, etc.) in the fellowship hall and a viewing of The Sandlot at 7:30 with popcorn and candy! After that, most of the adults can go home while middle and high school youth stay for a lock-in with games, devotions, and service project discussions. After a few hours’ sleep, youth enjoy breakfast before parents pick them up on Saturday, September 23 around 9:00 AM.

Make a Splash With Us at the Water Carnival! Sunday, August 27 at 12 PM

In the dog days of summer, middle and high school youth are invited to a fun-filled water carnival on Sunday, August 27 at noon, where a host of pool-based water games and contests await you! Meanwhile families with children in K–5 can meet at SOTH for outdoor water games (same date/time)!
