The NEW Children & Family Ministry Team invites all to join us Sunday, May 23 after the late service (around 11 am), for a Pentecost Celebration as we recognize the gift of the Holy Spirit. Like the wind, the Spirit is invisible, but we can see the work of what it does. To celebrate the “Spirit” as it moves through us all we invite you to join us for a kite flying event. The Music and Worship team has chosen to emphasize prayer in 2020 to encourage a closer relationship with God among all who worship with us. Starting in February, SOTH has offered sermon series, prayer vigils, retreats, and other opportunities to learn more about prayer. Our overview of the year is here. SUNDAY SCHOOL Kindergarten to 6th Grade Smiles, stories from the Bible, interaction with friends and caring adults, praying with others, drawing and games: All these things are important to the faith and life of young people. We will be offering IN-PERSON, OUTDOOR Sunday school as the weather holds. 9:40 AM – 10:10 AM – Sunday school for children Kindergarten to 6th grade will take place outside between worship services at the side of the church where the volleyball net is located. On Sunday, October 4, 2020 we welcomed Executive Director Tom Powell to worship as he shared with us about the ministry of Caroline Furnace Lutheran Camp and Retreat Center. Caroline Furnace is a ministry SOTH helps support and a special place where students and adults spend time growing in relationship with God and others at retreats and summer camp. SOTH made an impact in the ministry of Caroline Furnace in summer 2020 supporting a counselor and contributed towards its on-going ministry this fall making a special donation.
