Children and Family Ministry
The nursery is provided by professional childcare givers. Children ages 5 and younger are welcome each Sunday throughout the morning, starting at 8:00 am.
Sunday school takes place from 9:15 am – 10:15 am throughout the school year. It is a great way to build friendships with peers and caring, trusted adults, and to learn about and experience God’s love through reading the Bible, hearing stories, and making connections between faith and life.

Special for Parents
You are invited to stay and get to know other parents by relaxing, drinking coffee or tea, and enjoying treats in the “Parent Zone”, also called “The Oasis”, at the back of SOTH’s sanctuary.
All young people are invited to sing in the Youth Choir which sings once a month during worship services. Choir practice is coordinated around family and church schedules. Contact Pastor Darcy for more information. A wonderful way for young people to share their gifts.
Affiliated with Girl and Boy Scouts of America, P.R.A.Y. (Programs of Religious Activities with Youth) is a Bible-based religious emblems program designed to bring children, youth, and families to Christ.
The P.R.A.Y. program meets the requirements for religious awards in Scouting programs for those of the Protestant or Independent Christian faith. Classes are normally held in the winter for the various age groups of the award. For more information please contact Brian Behlke at Troop2018haymarket@gmail.com.

Summer Drama Camp: June 17 – 21, 2019
We are excited to offer a drama camp from 9am to 3pm, Monday-Thursday and 9am and 7pm, for a public performance on that Friday. The camp is open to rising 2nd to 8th graders and is designed to give budding (or blossomed) thespians the opportunity to develop and practice skills in theater through rehearsing and performing a production of “The Wizard of Oz”. Campers will learn basic acting skills, practice choreography and drama, and get involved behind the scenes as they enjoy the process of bringing a production to the stage in just one week! There will also be lots of fun and games. The camp’s director has 20 years experience directing summer drama camps. Cost for the camp will be $250, and $225 for additional children from the same family. Registration will be coming soon. Please contact the church office with any questions at email@example.com,
Vacation Bible School: July 8 – 12, 2019
Another exciting week of Vacation Bible School for ages 4 years old through rising 5th graders. There are opportunities for all to serve!
Vacation Bible School – Cave Quest 2018
Children are welcomed for a week of fun, fellowship and learning in the summer. Each year a new, exciting topic for the curriculum is presented and experienced through activities. In July 2018, we enjoyed spelunking through dark caves with Jesus as our light at Cave Quest Vacation Bible School! We learned Jesus is the one who lights our way and gives us hope for each new day. We challenged, taught, and led 30 children throughout four stations of learning in storytelling, recreation, KidVid, and crafts. A fun filled week in our faith journey together!
