Children and Family Ministry
The nursery is provided by professional childcare givers in a safe, caring environment. Children ages 5 and younger are welcome each Sunday throughout the morning, starting at 8:00 am. We invite you to call or contact Karen, the Church Administrator with any questions at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Sunday school takes place from 9:15 am – 10:15 am throughout the school year. Sunday school is a wonderful way to build friendships with peers and caring, trusted adults. In addition, children learn about and experience God’s love through reading the Bible, hearing stories, and making connections between faith and life.

Special for Parents
You are invited to stay and get to know other parents by relaxing, drinking coffee or tea, and enjoying treats in the “Parent Zone”, also called “The Oasis”, at the back of SOTH’s sanctuary.
All young people are invited to sing in the Youth Choir which sings once a month during worship services. Choir practice is coordinated around family and church schedules. Contact Pastor Darcy for more information. A wonderful way for young people to share their gifts.
Affiliated with Girl and Boy Scouts of America, P.R.A.Y. (Programs of Religious Activities with Youth) is a Bible-based religious emblems program designed to bring children, youth, and families to Christ.
The P.R.A.Y. program meets the requirements for religious awards in Scouting programs for those of the Protestant or Independent Christian faith. Classes are normally held in the winter for the various age groups of the award. For more information please contact Brian Behlke at Troop2018haymarket@gmail.com.

Children were welcomed for a week of fun, fellowship and learning in July. Each year a new, exciting topic for the curriculum is presented and experienced through activities. We learned Jesus is the one who lights our way and gives us hope for each new day. We challenged, taught, and led 30 children throughout four stations of learning in storytelling, recreation, KidVid, and crafts. A fun filled week in our faith journey together!
Summer Camp at Caroline Furnace 2019
Summer 2019, SOTH students and campers from all over, experienced a week packed with fun! Open to those in first grade to 18, campers swam, canoed, fished, creek walked, and played small and large group games, worshiped, prayed, and grew in faith and relationship with God. In addition they were challenged on low ropes courses, hiked, cooked over a campfire, created crafts, learned archery, gained culinary skills, and explored the furnace ruins on camp property. Pastor Darcy was present for the week serving as chaplain. Visit the Caroline Furnace website at www.carolinefurnace.org for more information.
